Pak Taliban threatens to unleash its "jacketwalas" against prominent religious leaders
Lahore, June 17 (ANI): After claiming the responsibility for carrying out the suicide attack on Jamia Naeemia here, in which the country's top religious scholar Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi was killed, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has now warned of more such strikes against other important religious leaders in the country.
"Now it is your turn, we have sent a jacketwala (a man with a suicide vest) to mend clerics like you. We will also send jacketwalas to other clerics too," The Daily Times quoted TTP's threat mail to a cleric, as saying.
Following the threat, the Ministry of Interior has ordered the concerned authorities of all the four provinces to beef up security and take immediate action.
Prominent religious leaders have also been provided additional security cover after the threat. (ANI)
