Oregon woman kills friend, cuts baby from womb

By Super Admin

Hillsboro, (Oregon) Jun 10: 27-year-old Oregon woman was arrested by the police for killing her 21-year-old friend and removing her baby out of the womb. Korena Roberts, 27, who had told friends she was pregnant herself with twins, is said to have befriended 21-year-old Heather Snively before killing her and stuffing her dead body into a cupboard.

The incident came to limelight when emergency workers responded to a call from Roberts home in United States on Friday, Jun 5. They found Korena Roberts boyfriend trying to revive a bloodied infant. Though Roberts said to her family and friends the baby belonged to her, doctors found that she was not pregnant.

Police later searched the house and found the body of Heather Snively hidden in a cupboard. Post-mortem examination showed that Snively suffered knife injuries and head wound. However it was not clear if she died of head wounds or the cutting into her abdomen. The authorities are also trying to find out if the baby ever took a breath, the legal standard of life in Oregon.

Reports suggest that Heather Snively had recently moved from Maryland to Oregon, as her boyfriend, Chris Popp, the father of the child, had found a better job. She reportedly met Korena Roberts through a website a few weeks ago. Heather's mother informed media that Roberts told her daughter that she was pregnant and was looking for baby cloths and the two became friends.

This is the fifth recent instance of a woman in the United States cutting a baby from a slain woman's womb.
