Porn star says her bid for Senate seat sounds 'ludicrous' even to her

Washington, Jun 8 (ANI): American pornographic actress Stormy Daniels has revealed that her running for the Louisiana Senate seat next year sounds 'ludicrous' even to her.

Daniels, 30, said that she was still undecided whether to challenge Sen. David Vitter for the seat, and started a "listening tour" in Louisiana last month, to aid her with the decision.

"I am still trying gauge whether this is something that I want to do, if I'm capable of doing it," Fox News quoted her as saying on June 7.

"If I was an outsider looking in, I'd think it sounds ludicrous. It really does.

"And I guess the whole thing is that (the public) dislikes David Vitter so much that they think I'm the best person for the job-then I mean that's kind of scary," she added.

But she said if she made her run official, she would do everything in her power to "make it legit", and suggested that the public interest in her candidacy says more about Vitter than it does about her.

Daniels also said if she did not take up the challenge herself, she might encourage another candidate to run for Vitter's seat in 2010. (ANI)
