London, Apr 20 (ANI): Looks like Russell Brand can't help leaving messages on people's answering machine, and this time he and co-host on his new radio-show Noel Gallagher rang up none other than US President Barack Obama.

The duo called up Obama and left a message for him during their talkSPORT radio show.

On the show-the two-hour one-off special for the sport station- Brand and the Oasis star discussed the latest football news and called up the American President to ask if he really is a fan of West Ham football club.

They failed to get through to him, but were asked to leave a message.

"Dear Barack Obama, we are calling you to find out if you are in fact the world's most-famous West Ham supporter as it is claimed," the Mirror quoted Russell as saying on the show.

He added: "I haven't ever seen you at Upton Park and what formation do you suggest Gian Franco Zola plays?"

Then Gallagher said: "This answer phone message better not jeopardize my American visa situation."

With the show, Russell has marked his return to radio after the Andrew Sachs scandal when he and Jonathan Ross left an offensive message on the actor's answer machine.Later, Russell quit his Radio 2 job and Jonathan was suspended from the BBC. (ANI)
