Zardari signs the deal to impose Sharia Law

Islamabad, Apr 14: A media report says that Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the bill to impose Sharia law in Swat Valley, as part of the deal to end Taliban Violence, on Monday, Apr 13.

The president signed the deal after the parliament unanimously urged him to sign the deal, with the effect of improving the law and order situation in Swat.

The instability of the nuclear armed nation pakistan had caused concern in its Western ally, the United States. When Zardari hesitated to sign the deal he faced criticism from his allies.

The Tliban insurgency started in 2007 in the former tourist spot, Swat Valley. And few days back Taliban militants established control over the Buner region causing waves of concern in the west and the neighbouring countries.
