Jayaprada's nomination creates rift in SP

Written by: Staff

Lucknow, Mar 21: With the elections nearing by, differences regarding seats is a common issue. A similar issue has come up due to actor-turned-politician Jayaprada's renomination from Rampur on an Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket. This has increased tensions between local party leader Azam Khan and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

To mollify minority leader Khan, SP had asked him to contest the high-profile minority seat himself for Jaya to be shifted out. If Khan does consent to do so, then, in such a case, Jaya Prada could be shifted to Moradabad.

Khan is feeling insecured of Jaya's repeated wins as this might push him to local politics.
