'US job loss boon to India and China'
Washington, Mar 2: A study done by a team of scholars in Duke, Harvard and Berkeley Universities reveal that the loss of about 1,00,000 skilled migrant workers to nations like India and China will affect the United States economy like a catastrophe which will take decades to recover.
US's competitiveness will be worst hit said Vivek Wadhwa. He is the lead author of the study on the plight of skilled immigrants who came to the US from India and China to work or study and returned home. Most of the Indian and Chinese returnees who originally came to the US for work or study responded that growing demand for their skills in homeland motives them to return.
