Emotional Jennifer Hudson wins hearts and gong at Grammy's
Washington, February 9 (ANI): An emotional Jennifer Hudson moved the crowd with her tear-jerking performance and win at the 51st annual Grammy Awards.
The singer bagged the trophy for her self-titled debut in the best R and B album category, while remembering her murdered family in her speech.
"Thank God, who brought me through. I'd like to thank my family in heaven - and those who are here today," People magazine quoted her as saying.
The 'Dreamgirls' actress expressed her gratitude to fiancé David Otunga for lending his shoulder during the tragic ordeal.
The Oscar-winner further went on to earn herself a standing ovation for her power ballad "You Pulled Me Through."
She sang: "I was in the darkness. I was out in the cold. You reached out your arms to me ... pulled me back from the edge." (ANI)
