E-mail death threat to Pak envoy to India

Islamabad, Jan 25: Shahid Malid, the Pakistan's High Commissioner to India has received a death threat from a relatively unknown terrorist group reported the Dawn newspaper. A group named All India Anti-Terrorism Group (AIATG) has send an e-mail threat to Malik and warned him to leave New Delhi in three days. It said that if he failed to do so, would face dire consequences.

"We don't need to make any kind of relation and have no place for any Pakistani in our country," the e-mailed threat said. "If the threat is taken lightly, it is 200 per cent sure the envoy will be killed," it added.

The three-page mail was signed by a man claiming to be the chief of the AIATG.

The letter stated 11 reasons for forming the Pakistani hate group.

"You can understand we have many reasons to take lethal steps against you and your country, so tell your government that we are mad, zealot and thirsty of Pakistani blood," it said.

It also warned the Pak High Commission of an eminent attack on the Parliament in Islamabad.

The High Commission has asked for tighter security cover.
