New Yorkers want Cuomo, not Caroline Kennedy to fill Clinton's vacant senate seat
Albany (New York, US), Jan.15 (ANI): A poll has revealed that a majority of New Yorkers prefer Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to replace Hillary Clinton in the Senate rather than Caroline Kennedy.
According to the New York Daily News, only 37 percent of those surveyed by Quinnipiac University Polling Institute said they think Kennedy would make a good U.S. senator, while 40 percent do not.
Another 48 percent say Kennedy is not qualified for the job, while 37 percent say she is.
Regardless, New Yorkers by a 38 percent to 33 percent % margin believe Governor David Paterson will choose Kennedy to replace Clinton.
Cuomo presently leads Kennedy by a 31 percent to 24 percent margin among voters. (ANI)
