Islamabad, Jan.14 (ANI): The Government of Pakistan on Wednesday shared the Indian dossier on Mumbai terror attacks with the visiting Saudi Chief of the General Intelligence Presidency, Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during his meet with Pakistan's Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik discussed the November 26 Mumbai Terror attacks.

Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz Asl-Saud is learnt to have also been briefed on the "progress" of Pakistan's own investigation into the incident, as Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh sought united efforts by the country's political forces to "de-escalate" tension in the subcontinent.

Muqrin has arrived in Pakistan to help defuse tensions with India and to press for resolution of differences among Pakistan's political parties.

There was no official word from the Pakistan government about Muqrin's meeting with Rehman Malik, though Pakistani TV channels quoted official sources as saying that the Interior Ministry chief did share the Indian dossier with the Saudi intelligence chief.

Pakistan will share its findings with India, as soon as the probe is completed, Malik was quoted as saying by the sources.

Malik, however, denied that Pakistan would hand over any person found to be involved in the Mumbai incident to India. "Action will be initiated against such persons under Pakistani laws and they will be tried by the country's courts," he added.

The other subjects discussed in the meet included talks on bilateral ties, security and terrorism issues and intelligence sharing.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had stated that Pakistan would not allow its soil to be used by anyone against any country, as being a responsible member of the comity of nations, it was fully aware of its obligations.

Gilani had stated this in his talks with Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz Asl-Saud at the Prime Minister's House.

Meanwhile, Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz on this occasion stated that King Abdullah had sent him to Islamabad as his special envoy to deliver his special message to the leadership of Pakistan.

He said Saudi Arabia considered Pakistan's peace and stability as its own and attached great importance to its close brotherly relations with Pakistan.

Prince Muqrin mentioned that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were bound in religious, emotional, historical and cultural ties and the people of both the countries had always stood by each other. (ANI)
