New Delhi, Dec 12: P Chidambaram, Union Home Minister on Thursday, Dec 11 addressed the Indian Parliament which reopened for Monsoon Session on Wednesday, Dec 10 said that finger of suspicion points to neighbouring country of Pakistan. He also admitted that 'intelligence and security' failed to forsee Mumbai terror attacks. In a counter speech, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and the leader of Opposition, L K Advani said Pakistan is the epicenter of terrorism. "It's a war on terror. Greater role should be played by United States," he said to the Parliament.

Advani said that he doubts the role of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) after its stand on Jammu Kashmir. On Wednesday, Dec 10 UNSC banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa or the front organisation of terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba. He said that even Muslims in India are angry over the Nov 26 Mumbai terror attacks. He also asked the government to clarify why the National Security Group or NSG reached late to Mumbai.

He warned that India should not be fooled by Pakistan arresting few terrorists. "ISI is not under the control of Pakistan Army," said the Leader of Opposition. Such kind of Political Islam is not acceptable. "World knows that underworld kingpin Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan. Government should probe his role in 26/11."

Advani concluded by saying that message should be sent to the world that this was a war. Also he added that his party would support the government in its measures to curb terrorism.
