Triangular fight in Civil Lines seat in Pink city
Jaipur, Nov 21: The Civil Lines constituency in the Pink City will witness a triangular contest in the Dec 4 Assembly polls in Rajasthan.
In contrast, the Vidhyadhar Nagar constituency in the state capital will witness a tough contest among 27 contestants, the highest number in 200 assembly segments. A total of 1944 contestants are left in the fray after the expiry of the deadline for withdrawal of nominations yesterday.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje(Jhalrapatan), Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria(Udaipur), former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot (Sardarpura), Congress state President CP Joshi(Nathdwara), BJP rebel former Minister Kirodi Lal Meena(Sawai Madhopur and Todabhim), former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's son-in-law Health Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi are the prominent candidates.
