Gold, Silver open weak on low demand

Mumbai, Nov 11: On Tuesday, Nov 11 both the precious metals opened weak, with silver declining by Rs 100 per kg and gold by Rs 70 per ten gm, on lower buying support along with weak global advices, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.

The white metal opened at Rs 17,465 per kg and the yellow metal at 11,715 per ten gm. In London too, a bearish trend was seen as gold was quoted at USD 746.00/747.50 (751.00/752.25) per troy ounce, while silver was quoted at USD 10.24/10.25 (10.28/10.29) per troy ounce respectively. Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade: Rs 17,465 Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity: Rs 11,715 Pure gold 99.9 purity: Rs 11,770.
