JSW Steel to cut production by 20 per cent
Mumbai, Nov 7: Lack of demand has forced JSW Steel to cut it production mix resulting in 20 per cent lesser production from this month.
The Company in a release here said that it was rationalising its product mix production from November 2008 as per the current market conditions and would appropriately modify the production programme. This would effectively reduce the total production by around 20 per cent, it said adding that the company would utilise the time for general maintenance of facilities. The Company announced that it saw a five per cent increase in crude steel production in October 2008 year on year basis.
