3 member Indian family found dead in Dubai
Dubai, Sep 19: Three bodies of an Indian family from Kozhikode were found floating in the Dubai Creek but police is still clueless of whether it is a case of suicide. The bodies have been identified as those of Gireesh Kumar (35), an Indian mechanic who worked at Dubai Dry Docks, Shafiqa (27) his wife, and their two-year-old daughter Gauri Nanda.
He said the officers found burns on the girl's body, but did not confirm the cause of their deaths, saying they were awaiting the forensic report. The bodies of the woman and the child were found floating around 0600 hrs (local time) on Tuesday, Sep 16 by a Filipino boatman, who alerted the police and the Coast Guards who fished them out from the water around 1000 hrs (local time), the Khaleej Times reported. Another report said the two bodies were tied together.
Kumar's body surfaced late on Tuesday night. Police investigations revealed that he drove his car to the area near the British Embassy and parked it there.
According to the police, a letter written in Hindi was found along the creek, which indicated that he was facing some problems though Kumar's sister said the family led a happy life.
