BJP solves groupism in the state
Puducherry, Jul 30: The groupism in the Puducherry unit of the BJP has been sorted out with all sections assuring that they would function in unison to strengthen the party.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, July 30 Party National Council Member Dhananjaya Kumar said the party would set up a core committee which would take all the decisions pertaining to the party's activites hereafter. The pary conducted a meeting yesterday in which about 125 office bearers, including Party's All India Joint Secretary Satheesh and Tamil Nadu Organising Secretary Mohan Rajalu, who was appointed as the Puduchery Organising Secretary (incharge), attended the meeting, he said.
Eight party workers, who were suspended by Mr Kesavalu, were reinstated and three who were expelled from the party were also readmitted into the party to bring harmony.He also alleged that there was a political vacuum in Puducherry due to the ongoing struggle between the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues. He said the Bharatiya Labour Union (BLU) has been merged with the Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) here, and Mr Ellangovan would lead the BMS.
