A unique love story from Rajasthan

Jodhpur, Jun 21: Forgetting their traditional enmity, a dog and a mouse have exhibited a unique friendship in Jodhpur. In today's times, when even human beings are bereft of the definition of love with many not even trustworthy, Jodhpur saw two animals setting an exiting example for the people, with their love for each other.

Dogs and rats are known to be traditional foes. But a family in Jodhpur which already owned two dogs, had to patronise the rats reluctantly, after their kids insisted. For them, making the rats and the dogs stay together was a big challenge. "These rats were gifted to my daughter on the occasion of her birthday. Initially, I used to dislike the rats. What made me a bit hesitant was the fact that the two dogs we had would not let these rats stay and could gobble them up any time. Slowly they became friends and now they do everything together," said Pradeep Kushwah, the owner.

But to everyone's relief, the kids taught these animals a love-lesson. The friendship of rats and dogs blossomed and now it's difficult to make them stay away from each other.

"We are not afraid of the cats till the dogs are here but once they are gone we do get a little scared. However, we try not to let the cats enter." Said Tripti Kushwah, Pradeep Kushwah's daughter.

They eat, drink or even sleep together.

The dogs are always beside these rats to protect them, especially from the cats.
