Aviation Turbine Fuel price hiked by 18.5 pc
New Delhi, June 1: In the wake of increasing global crude price, the state-run oil marketing companies which revise prices of jet fuel once every month in line with international trend today raised the Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices by an average of 18.5 per cent. In Delhi, the ATF price has been hiked by 18.56 per cent at Rs 69,227.08 per kilolitre (kl) from Rs 58,387.92 per kl, which will be effective from midnight, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said here.
In Mumbai, jet fuel prices have been increased to Rs 71,759.06 per kl from Rs 60,468.28 per kl, posting a hike of 18.67 per cent. In Chennai, the ATF price has registered a jump of 19.57 per cent at Rs 75,602.99 per kl from Rs 63,227.62. While in Kolkata, it has been increased to Rs 76,625.68 per kl from Rs 64,824.82, an increase of 18.20 per cent. This is the fourth straight hike in ATF prices since February last year. Jet fuel is a colourless, combustible, straight run petroleum distillate liquid.
