TTD to develop Anamacharya spiritual village in AP

Rajampet, Kadapa, May 2: Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam(TTD) will develop Thallapaka, native of saint Anamacharya, who composed 32000 songs, lauding Lord Venkateswara, in Anamacharya spiritual village, TTD Chairman B Karunakar Reddy said here today.

Mr Reddy, while reviewing arrangments of 600th anamacharya jayanthi celebration to be held from May 19 to 21, said the spritual village will be developed as a major tourist centre in the world. He said If land was provided, TTD will construct a Lord Venkateswara temple and Kalyanamandapam at the saint's native village. The three-day jayanthi celebrations will begin with 'Nagara Sankeethans' in which, 20,000 devotees will take part.

The Chairman said Chief Minister Y S Rajasekara Reddy will unveil 108-ft anamacharya statue on May 19. 'Ghoshti Ganam' will be performed by 600 eminent musicians across the country and cultural programmes will be performed by actor Sobhana and musical concept by popular director Kote and his troupe, he added.

Venpati Chinnasatyam and his disciples will play ballet on the final day, while Srivari Snapna Tirumajanam, Unjal Seva and Srinivas Kalayanosthsavam will be performed during the event, he said.

During the review meeting, TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary asked the officials to work unitedly and also asked the Road Transport Corporation(RTC) officials to run buses round the clock for the benefit of devotees.

Mr Ramanachary said necessary arrangements will be made to facilitate the process for devotees.

Kadapa District Collector Babu said the government has donated six acre of land on the national highway to the TTD for the development of the spiritual village.

Dr Reddy has taken steps to construct budget hotels in the village.
