New Delhi, Apr 02: Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar today said that he had no idea when the rising inflation rate would come down, and added that he could not predict this as he was not an "astrologer".

Pawar, who is also the chief of Nationalist Congress Party, said this when reporters asked what the UPA Government at the Centre was doing to check the surging inflation, which touched a 13-month high of 6.68 percent in the middle of March. He said his government had taken many steps to check rising prices, especially of essential commodities. On Monday, the government scrapped import duties on crude edible oils and banned exports of non-basmati rice amid a raft of measures to stem rising inflation.
