Hearing against Dera Chief deferred to April 21
Ambala, Mar 29: The special CBI court today deferred the hearing to April 21 in the double murder and rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh.
The Special CBI Judge R K Saini deferred the case to the next date as the Dera Chief's plea in the Punjab and Haryana High Court for quashing proceedings against him was scheduled to come up on April 2. The Dera Chief appeared in the court, which was held in the office of the Additional Superintendent of Police in Police Lines Complex, due to security reasons. No outsider, including mediapersons, was allowed to enter the premises. The Dera Chief was also not allowed to address his followers who had gathered in the HUDA Grounds in thousands.
