Malabar Cancer Centre to come under Health Dept

Kannur, Mar 4: Kerala Health Minister P K Sreemathy today said the Thalassery Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC), now under the Electricity Department, would be taken over by the Health Department.

Inaugurating a health programme for presspersons at the Press Club here, she said the government was also planning to allot Rs five crore to the MCC. She said the Health Department would conduct camps across the state to detect prevalence of diseases on the International Women's Day on March eight.
