Bangalore, Feb 25: The Corps of Detectives (CoD) arrested one more person said to be an accomplice of the Mohammed Kamakutty alias Yahya Khan, the suspected kingpin of the banned SIMI organisation in Karnataka here last night. Following the revelations made by the Kerala based Kammakutty, who was nabbed by CoD police Thursday last, Rehman, a dental college student studying in Davanagere was picked up from a city locality last night.

Rahman is the sixth person arrested in the case, which brought to light new modules of terror networks in the state. The latest terror network came to light when Davangere police arrested Riyazuddin Naser of Hyderabad and Asadullah Abubaker of Hospet in the state and their questioning led to the arrests. He reportedly identified himself with the activities of Kammakutty, and his accomplices and also confessed for having participated in the secret meetings of the SIMI in Castle Rock on Karnataka-Goa border. The CoD police, who were questioning for Rehman's alleged involvement in the terrorist activities, are likely to take him to Hubli and seek police custody tomorrow.

CoD is also looking for more than half-a-dozen associates of Kammakutty who were allegedly involved in hatching conspiracy to conduct blasts in several religious, economic and socially sensitive places across the state.

Meanwhile the JMFC-I court in Hubli, which had heard the case of medico Mohammed Asif and Shakeel Mali today, extended their police custody till March six. The CoD police who have produced both the arrested before the court had earlier sought the extension of the police custody for further investigations.

The court also deferred the hearing of the bail application of Asif to March Six and also extended the body warrants of Riyazuddin and Asadulla now lodged in Bellary jail till March Six. The CoD police also successfully pleaded the JMFC court to grant permission to subject Kammakutty to narco analysis and he is likely to be brought to the city either today or tomorrow.
