HCL signed MOU with premier edu institutions

HCL,

has
signed
a
MoU
with
four
premier
colleges
in
the
city
to
implement
'GoPro'
as
a
part
of
its
campus
engagement
initiative,
intended
to
create
best
students
into
best
professionals.
Speaking on the occasion of the signing of an MoU with four premier educational institutions including R V College of Engineering and Mount Carmel and Jyoti Nivas College here last night Mr Ravi Shankar, Global Head, Talent Management Group (HCL)said that through GoPro program students would be exposed to Corporate and Industrial training which enables to become best student employees in the career.
He said that it was the endeavor of HCL to build up the 'Next Generation of Professionals' wherein the 'Campus to Corporate' programme would serve as a bridge to the corporate world and help to inculcate and develop essential qualities and capabilities among the youngsters to sustain the corporate challenges and environment.
The GoPro program was also aimed to add more value to the academic experience of the students by providing training in non-technical and soft skills to help them become a true professional thereby increasing their 'employability' quotient, he added.
Mr Shankar said that the highlight of this initiative includes tying up with Women's colleges from arts and science background to encourage gender representation and diversity in the professional workforce. The GoPro program also included the setting up 'Technology Labs' to facilitate training and research work for students and would also introduce 'Faculty Enablement Program' for the faculty as well, to engage them to interact with experts in certain areas of technology. "The faculty also can do a sabbatical at HCL' he added.
The other premier educational institution the HCL also signed MoU was PES engineering college. "The MoU with Bangalore based colleges is a continued effort to develop professional as part of a widened and best talent pool in the industry" he added.
