Biting cold prevails in the capital

New Delhi, Dec 20: A biting cold continued today in the capital even as the minimum rose slightly by a degree from yesterday's 4.2 degrees Celsius which was the season's coldest.

The mercury recorded 5 degrees Celsius, which is 3 degrees below normal. Visibility dropped to 300 meters delaying flights and disrupting traffic. The Met office predicted mainly clear sky for tomorrow which is likely to be partly cloudy later in the day. Fog or mist will prevail in the morning and the minimum temperature will be around 6 degrees Celsius.
