Over 40 lakh tonne paddy arrives in Haryana mandis

Chandigarh, Dec 6 (UNI) Government procuring agencies have procured 17.82 lakh metric tonnes of paddy so far out of total arrival of 40.17 lakh tonnes in mandis of the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan today said HAFED had procured 7.19 lakh MTs of paddy, Food and Supplies Department had procured 5.63 lakh MTs, Agro Industries Corporation 2.23 lakh MTs, Confed 2.04 lakh MTs, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 60,059 MTs of paddy and Food Corporation of India 10,389 lakh MTs.

He said Kurukshetra district was ahead in all the districts of the state with the arrival of 7.20 lakh MTs of paddy followed by Karnal 6.51 lakh MTs, Kaithal 4.97 lakh MTs, Fatehabad 4.75 lakh MTs, Jind 3.29 lakh MTs, Ambala 3.11 lakh MTs, Yamunanagar 2.17 lakh MTs, Sirsa 1.85 MTs, Panipat 1.82 lakh MTs and Faridabad 1.50 lakh MTs.
