As soon as Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim started making the obituary references rejecting the Trinamool Congress' demand, Opposition leader Partha Chatterjee disrupted it making another reference to the Nandigram deceased and Rizwanur.
The Speaker, however, read out the obituary references in memory of ten distinguished personalities and the people who died in recent cyclone in Bangladesh amidst the pandemonium.
The House again witnessed noisy scenes when Trinamool Congress members broke the two-minute silence in memory of the eminent people and raised slogans.
They also demanded resignation of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee who admitted administrative and political failure in Nandigram and regretted his remark on the issue.
Later, the Speaker told newspersons that the Trinamool Congress members did not inform the Business Advisory committee about mentioning of Nandigram issue in the House.
He said Nandigram could be discussed in the House if an all-party consensus was reached in this regard.
Referring to Rizwanur Rahman, Mr Halim said the House pays obituary reference only to people of eminence. He, however, said had full sympathy with the family members of the graphics designer and remarked that the role of police in the case was ''regretable.''
