Gulbarga, Nov 26: With the dissolution of Karnataka Assembly becoming imminent, the Congress party will launch election campaign from Chidradurga on December Six or Seven, leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh said today.

Talking to reporters here, he said that a Symposium would be held on November 29 in Bangalore to chalk out strategy for the election campaign.

Mr Singh said that in view of the ensuing assembly elections, all the District Committees would be reshuffled during December as an effort to make ready its cadre.

Taking strong exception to the BJP's attempts of making withdrawal of support by JD(S) as a public issue, Mr Singh said that it was an internal issue of JD(S) and BJP and there is no justification of taking the issue to the people.

Accusing the BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa of forming government in a hasty manner, Mr Singh said that he (Mr Yeddyurappa) tried to form the government without solving their internal differences with the JD(S) and led the state into a political uncertainty.

Criticising the BJP policies during the tenure of coalition government, Mr Singh pointed out that the BJP had allocated Rs 220 crores for renovation of temples, which was higher than funds allocated to Panchayats for developmental activities.

Dismissing the BJP's claim that it had earned enormous peoples sympathy in the wake of having been betrayed twice by the JD(S), Mr Singh said that people would vote by seeing what it had done to them.
