Dubai: Fog disrupts flights from India
Dubai , Nov 17: Several flights, including those from India, were today diverted and delayed here due to dense fog.
Visibility in Dubai and the Northern Emirates was reduced to 300 metres as a result of fog last night and it affected flight schedules and the traffic movement on the roads. Foggy conditions disrupted flight schedules at the Sharjah and Dubai International Airport.
''Our Emirartes flight could not land in Dubai and we are now stranded in Muscat. We are stuck at the airport lounge and do not know when we can travel to Dubai,'' Mr Sivakrishnan, one of the passengers who boarded the flight from Chennai, told the sources on phone from the Omani capital.
According to a forecast by Dubai Met office, foggy conditions prevailed till late morning in most part of the Northern Emirates and some parts of Dubai.
The maximum temperature recorded was 33 degrees C and minimum was 20.5 degrees C.
