Modi stirs hornet's net at Yeddyurappa oath ceremony

Bangalore, Nov 12: Firebrand BJP leader Narendra Modi today said that the formation of BJP government in Karnataka would give a big boost to the party organisation in the coming Gujarat elections.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the oath taking ceremony of the BJP-led government in Karnataka would follow the Gujarat model, which led to raise of several eye brows.

However, BJP national President Rajanath Singh was quick to clarify that Mr Modi was only referring to the Gujarat's model of development and not the Hindutwa agenda.

"He only meant that Gujarat model of development would be followed. It is of no doubt that Gujarat today is an example for other states to follow," Mr Singh said.

Mr Modi, who is seeking a re-election December said that the formation of the BJP government would be an encouragement to everyone and its results would evident in the coming state elections.
