Hyd: IEDs, detonators found in garbage bin

Hyderabad, Nov 2: Police today found a box containing Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and detonators in a garbage bin at Surabhi Colony under Cyberabad Police Limits here.

Police said some rag pickers called up the Chanda Nagar Police and alerted them about a bag containing a carton, in the bin.

The dog and bomb squads were rushed to the place immediately where IEDs and detonators were found in the carton.

The explosives, however, were not connected. A manhunt has been launched for the suspects.

The explosives find comes in the background of May 18 Mecca Masjid explosion and August 25 twin blasts which claimed over 50 lives.

The needle of suspicion pointed to Harkat-Ul-Jihadi-Islami (HUJI) Commander Shahed alias Bilal, the suspected mastermind, who had allegedly smuggled around ten kg of RDX into the city through his associates to trigger blasts in the city.
