Nigerian held with heroin worth Rs 2 crore

Nigerian
national
was
arrested
at
the
Chhatrapati
Shivaj
International
Airport
here
by
officials
of
Air
Intelligence
Unit
(AIU)
of
Customs
for
allegedly
carrying
heroin,
worth
Rs
2
crore
in
the
international
market.
The accused was nabbed when he was about to depart for Douala via Addis Abba by an Ethopian Airlines flight no 611, a AIU release said yesterday.
''A search of his suitcase resulted in recovery of a white coloured powder, weighing 2000 gms, which was concealed in the false bottom of the zipper suitcase. The narcotics test of the substance resulted positive for heroin, which is valued at Rs two crore in the international market,'' the release added.
A case under NDPS act was registered against him, the release added.
