Union Bank Q2 net up 42.03 per cent

Union
Bank
of
India
(UBI),
one
of
country's
largest
state-run
banks,
today
posted
a
42.03
per
cent
jump
in
net
profit
at
Rs
275.78
crore
for
the
second
quarter
which
ended
in
September,
against
Rs
194.16
crore
over
the
same
period
last
fiscal.
Total income had increased from Rs 1924.85 crore for the quarter ended in September 2006 to Rs 2525.65 crore for the quarter ended in September 2007, a statement said.
