Kalam shifts to Raj Bhavan from Anna varsity
Chennai, July 26: Former President A P J Abdul Kalam, who arrived here last night after demitting office, had to shift to the Raj Bhavan for an overnight stay from Anna University due to power failure.
Soon after his arrival, Mr Kalam drove down to the varsity, where a guest house was kept readed for him. As the eminent missile scientist started preparing for a lecture to be delivered at the University next day, the power went off.
Mr Kalam soon shifted to Raj Bhavan, which was nearby, for an overnight stay.
He came to Raj Bhavan at around 2300 hrs last night and left for Anna University at around 1030 hrs this morning, Raj Bhavan sources told the sources.
