Nagpur, June 18: Security around the headquarters of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here has been beefed up after the police received an anonymous letter threatening to blow up the building.

The security was tightened on Saturday after the police received the hand-written letter claiming that a person, identified only as 'Rahul,' had hatched the conspiracy, sources said.

The letter was posted from a local post office, sources added.

Security at other sensitive places in the city had also been increased as a precautionary measure, they said.

Incidentally, the police had received an anonymous letter on May 31 claiming that a person, also identified as 'Rahul,' intended to bring several consignments of explosives into the city to trigger blasts at various locations. The letter was also anonymous and had been coated with material that was later identified as gunpowder.
