Maoists blow up police picket in Bihar
Jamui, Jun 5: A police picket and an inspection bunglow of Bihar irrigation department were blown up by about 200 armed maoists at Garhi village under Khaira police station in the district yesterday.
District Police Superintendent A K Ambedkar here today said the picket and the bunglow were razed to the ground under the impact of the explosion of a dynamite late last night.
A watchman of the picket was taken into captivity by the Ultras before launching the operation.
Raids were on to nab the extremists, Mr Ambedkar said.
