Tata Steel launches a free CTTP for women

Jamshedpur, June 3: As a part of its Corporate Social Responsiblity (CSR), steel major Tata Steel and district administration of Seraikella-Kharsawan have jointly announced to launch a Free Computer Technical Training Programme (CTTP) for Women.

Admissions to this six-month course are open with the total number of seats being 26, out of which 50 per cent is reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes. 40 per cent has been kept aside for Other Backward Castes and 10 per cent is for the General Category.

Admissions would be through a written test followed by a personal interview, the company sources said.

The selected candidates would be provided with facilities like all training materials required for the programme and a free mid-day meal throughout the course.

The earlier initiatives of Jharkhand Steel Project of the company in collaboration with district administration of Seraikella- Kharsawan include the inauguration of a Technical Training Centre at Rajbandh in Seraikella on November 26 last year for technical upgradation of local youths from Seraikella and Gamharia Blocks.
