Kerala Govt considering satellite city proposal
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 15: Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem today informed the Assembly that the government was seriously considering the proposal of setting up a 'satellite city' in the state.
In a written reply, he said the government was communicating the issue with various agencies within the country and outside.
Mr Kareem disclosed that the government had already held preliminary talks with a Malaysian government undertaking company in this regard.
If the proposal was materialised, the satellite city would be established in the Industrial Growth Center, owned by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) at Kinaloor in Kozhikode district, he added.
