25 stolen luxury cars recovered; five arrested
Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) Police recovered 25 stolen luxury cars, worth about Rs 1.25 crore, and arrested five inter-State car thieves here today.
Police said Imjad Khan, Mohamad Ajamkhan, Mohamad Kamaruddin, Santosh Kumar and Mohamed Shakil used to purchase damaged cars from insurance companies along with RC book at cheap rates and using its chassis numbers, sell off stolen cars.
The gang was arrested while trying to change the number plate of a stolen car.
The recovered vehicles included four Qualis, two Tavera, six Swift, two Ford Icon, four Santro and two Honda Accent.
