Speaker takes oath at Parliament instead of palace
Kathmandu, May 13 (UNI) The newly elected Speaker of the Nepal's Parliament, Subhash Nemwang today took oath of the office at the Parliament, breaking the tradition of being sworn-in by the King at the Narayanhity royal palace.
Nemwang was unanimously elected to the post of Speaker following agreement among the Seven Parties Alliance (SPA).
The cabinet ministers had also taken the office at the Singhdurbar, breaking the past tradition.
