Bangalore, May 2 (UNI) The Kashmiri Hindu Samithi, affiliated to the All India Kashmiri Samaj, today strongly condemned the barbaric killing of 22 innocent Hindus by terrorists at Doha in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.

In a release here, Samithi President R Mattoo called upon the Union and Jammu and Kashmir government to rethink about the policies on safety of lives and properties of minorities.

He said the Samithi believed that tall claims made by the government regarding restoration of normalcy in J and K were hollow and the writ of terrorists ran large in that state.

Mr Mattoo urged the government to reinforce J and K with more security personnel to protect minority Hindus.

He said ''The Samithi feels that the massacre has exposed the total collapse of intelligence system operating in that state as was the case at the time of Wandhama, Sangrampura, Nadimarg and Chatisinghpoora massacres.

''It wants the government to note that minority Hindus will no longer be allowed to be made canon fodder and scapegoats to try out the effects of its inept policies on J and K,'' he added.
