Surat, Apr 9: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani today said that India has to be alert from the terrorism and violence emanating from not just Pakistan but also Bangladesh and Nepal.

Mr Advani, who was Deputy Prime Minister in the NDA government, told newspersons here that initially Pakistan was the center of terrorism directed at India but gradually the base has shifted to countries like Bangladesh and Nepal.

India has given a list of 72 terror training camps in Bangladesh which was brought to Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's notice during her recent visit to India. However, she had tried to make out a case that the problem of illegal migration from Bangladesh was not in such a proportion as being claimed by India and that Bangladesh too faced the same problem, Mr Advani said, noting that as long as Bangladesh is in such a 'denial mode', the relationship between the two countries can not improve.

''In order to tackle terrorism, both the sides have to make efforts, he added.

Referring to Nepal, he said that although relations with Nepal were good, the Maoist elements were spoiling the peaceful atmosphere.
