Hyderabad, Feb 27: The Left parties, including Communist Party of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India-Marxist(CPI-M), today (Feb 27, 2006) launched a signature campaign to protest against the visit of US President George W Bush to the city on March 3, 2006.

Speaking to newspersons here, CPI (M) state Secretary and national Polit bureau member BV Raghavulu said the Left parties would also organise protest demonstrations against the visit in the city and hold protest rallies at state level on March 3.

Alleging that the US President symbolised neo-colonialism, he said it was shameful that United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government has voted in favour of the US resolution against Iran at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Meet.

CPI state secretary K Narayana pointed out that the relations between India and Iran would further weaken if the government did not change its decision on the Iran issue.
