Priyanka should ask her husband to desist from corruption: Kejriwal

Varanasi, April 23: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said advised Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to ask her husband Robert Vadra to desist from corruption.

On Tuesday, Priyanka lashed out at the opposition during a rally in Rae Bareli, the constituency of her mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, saying her husband has been made a political target. She said the more the opposition targets her and her family, the more strong she will be.

The Gandhis have been attacked from various quarters over the series of scam allegations that have plagued the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre over the past one decade.

In the past, Kejriwal had brought in serious allegations against Vadra, a businessman, accusing him of indulging in land deal irregularities and corrupt activities. The BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi have also launched scathing attack on Gandhis and Robert Vadra.

Kejriwal is contesting from Varanasi against Modi. The AAP leader is set to file his nomination from the holy city on Wednesday.

Modi will file his nomination on Thursday.
