Kerala CM reshuffles cabinet, M M Mani made minister
M M Mani was inducted into the cabinet as Minister for Electricity on Sunday. The decision comes after marathon meetings held over 3 days by CPI(M)
Trade union leader and first time legislator M M Mani has been inducted as a minister in the Kerala cabinet. The inclusion comes weeks after Industries Minister E P Jayarajan resigned over charges of nepotism.
M M Mani was inducted into the cabinet as Minister for Electricity on Sunday. The decision comes after marathon meetings held over 3 days by CPI(M). 2 other portfolios have been reassigned in the cabinet with A C Moideen being given charge of Industries and Kadakampally Surendran being given tourism and co-operatives portfolios.
New Minister M M Mani has been controversy's favourite child since the congress accused him of bringing in bogus voters from Tamil Nadu during elections earlier this year. M M Mani was also booked over his controversial speech in February this year, against a woman Principal of a polytechnic college.
