While 500 employees of Harikrishna Exports opted for cars, 200 chose jewellery while 300 took deposits on apartments as annual incentive. They were given options from cars, flats and jewellery. The respective gifts were handed over on Sunday at a big ground where brand new Fiat Punto cars were parked neatly.
Dholakiya, 55, said his employees deserved big rewards for their hard work and loyalty. His firms exports polished diamonds to 75 countries.
The gifts were given under the company's loyalty programme worth Rs 500 crore. The employees earn points in 25 criteria under this programme.
Dholakiya's company has achieved a turnover of Rs 6,000 crore a year with the total number of workers and employees rising to over 9,000 in Surat, Mumbai and abroad.
