Urdu conference in J&K on Dec 25; demand for new ministry for Urdu language to be raised

Rajouri, Dec 10: A non governmental organization ,Tehreek Baqa e Urdu (TBU) has announced to hold one day Urdu Conference at Ramban on December 25 in which creation of new ministry for Urdu language will be demanded by passing a resolution.

In this regard a Press Conference was organized by TBU President Irfan Ali Arif, Vice President Mohammad Sagheer Mirza and General Secretary of Spokesman Zakir Malik Bhallesi at Rajouri in which they have said that their organization will organize One Day Urdu Conference in Ramban under the patronship of Chief patron Farooq Shah Bukhari. They said that the topic of the conference is "Issues of Urdu in 21stcentury" in which scholars and experts from all over the state are going to participate.

TBU has said that this is for the first time that intellectuals of two regions Jammu & Kashmir are going to meet and close heads over important issue of official language of the state. They said that it is duty of all the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir to respect official language and contribute to promote it. They said that every government employee should be bound to promote this language because the same is official and it should be practically implemented on ground.

TBU has said that 3 awards including Maharaja Partap Singh Urdu Award, Mulkh Raj Aanand Saraf Urdu award and Shaan-i-Urdu Medal will be presented to 3 personalities who have contributed for promotion of Urdu language. They said that an award is also being given posthumously.

The programme is being held at Conference Hall of DC Complex Maitra and will commence at 11Am in which a resolution for Urdu will also be passed and presented to Governor and Chief Minister of the state.
