Srinagar, Nov 29: Joint security review meets were held in Kupwara and Handwara in Kupwara districts of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the second phase of assembly election on December 2. [J&K chief electoral officer reviews poll preparation]
The meets were chaired by Inspector general of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Sh. AG Mir along with IGP, Operations, CRPF, Sh. Nalin Prabhat.
After the meeting at Kupwara, IGP Mir said preparations were being fine-tuned for the next phase of election. He said all security officers have been instructed to ensure free, fair and incident-free election. [J&K assembly election 2014 schedule]

On the question of hyper-sensitive and sensitive polling booths, the IGP said sensitivity of polling booths is dynamic in nature and the categorisation has been made based on the experience of previous elections. He said action is being taken on real-time inputs besides all preventive measures.
