WWE: Update regarding Finn Balor’s return and probable opponent

There’s an option open for Finn Balor to challenge for the Universal championship right after his return.

By Raja

Bengaluru, Feb 16: Finn Balor made his main roster debut during the WWE Draft, last year. He was given a major push to become the supposed face of the Raw brand after WWE made him the first-ever Universal champion.

However, the plans around him had to be halted after he torn his pectoral muscle at Summerslam. This shelved his career for an indefinite time ever since then.

During the Royal Rumble PPV, fans expected to see him at the number 30 spot. This was due to his cryptic tweets hinting that he will be a part of the Rumble event and thus will also feature at Wrestlemania.

But, he was not medically cleared for the event and Roman Reigns took his spot to the much disgust of the fans.

Fans should not lose hope for not seeing Balor now that the Wrestlemania season is fully underway. As per the recent reports, he is about to make his comeback in late February or early March. He is expected to feature on the Wrestlemania card and probably a big match on the event.

The below comments from No-DQ.com were able to throw some lights on the latest regarding him:

"In an update from Balor's evaluation, Dave Meltzer reports that he was not cleared. Balor's targeted date for his return has always said to be late February or early March.

"As of this writing, Balor is expected to appear at WrestleMania in some capacity but it is unknown who his scheduled opponent might be for the event."

There's an option open for him to challenge for the Universal championship right after his return. He never lost the title on the first place and had to relinquish it just the very next day after winning it at Summerslam.

So, he rightfully deserves a rematch and if KO would hold the title then a title match between these two is a probability.

Another option open for him is to challenge Triple H. This would be a replacement for Seth Rollins who was the original choice to face the Game at Wrestlemania.
